Cassadan's Ranch is family owned and mangaged. We are located in northwest Elbert County on the high plains
about 30 miles southeast of Denver, Colorado and about 40 miles north of the Black Forest and the Palmer Divide. Rebecca grew up with horses and became involved with the Peruvian Paso breed right around the time they started
being imported to the U.S. from Peru. Bob, on the other hand, was a military brat and was busy stomping around the
world during his youth, so was not around horses much until the early 90's. Even so, he's still doing
a pretty good job of keeping up with his better half. We started Cassadan's Ranch with a mix of Peruvian Pasos, Morgans, Arabians and Quarter Horses, but began breeding
Peruvian Pasos exclusively in '93. Even so, we still take in the occasional rescue horse as space and time permit.
Rebecca has a soft spot in her heart for draft horses, so you'll often find us rescuing a Premarin foal from the slaughter
house or an older draft that has been worn down from too many pulling competitions. We are committed to the Peruvian Paso breed and our goal is to produce and offer strong, sound, naturally-gaited horses
with gentle dispositions that are suited for both the show ring and the trail.
We always welcome visitors by appointment. |
